Dr Akhter has been a General Practitioner for over 35 years. She brings a wide array of experience to the practice in family medicine, geriatric medicine, and chronic disease management. She is trained to perform PAP smears (now known as Cervical Screening Test, CST) and is available for consultation in women’s health. Dr Akhter specialises in chronic disease management and will be happy to plan and create a plan towards a healthier you. She speaks English, as well as Bengali, Hindi and Urdu. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, having good food, and engaging in conversations with loved ones.
